Many third-party integrations with Curve can be supported using Basic LTI. Basic LTI provides a framework through which an LMS (Curve) can send some verifiable information about a user to a third party. For Basic LTI to work, the third party needs to provide an account id and shared secret that Curve can use to generate a signature to verify the authenticity of the data sent. By default, most user information is anonymized, but this can be configured when the configuration is first set up.
Once you have a Course selected in the Courses and Groups dropdown menu, click the Lessons link in the Course Navigation bar.
Click the Add Item button.
Select Item Type
Beneath the External Tool heading, Curve will then give you several options to select as an External Tool. If you wish to use your own or an option not from the listed tools, you may follow the instructions below instead.
Note: By default, all Lesson Items are unpublished. To publish the External Tool, click the unpublished icon. The hover text will confirm you want to publish the External Tool.
